Dan has been following the presidential campaign with great passion. He has been talking my ear off recently about Senator Obama and I decided, after his speech in our native Philadelphia, that it was time to ask Dan to share his thoughts. I have always thought my brother to be an excellent judge of character and I feel his opinion is as valuable as the most famous or respected political authority because he speaks the truth and adds nothing more.
[Thanks to Will Drinker.]
readers need to do a bit of resaarch on Rev Wright and they will discover via YouTube that his speech has been played with to make him seem odious. Vikewing speeches on vido will show a much more balenced view of what he is saying. Addtionallty, a check on his background will reveal a guyh who waws very anti Viet nam but joined marines to serve his nation because it was at war!

Obama's voting record during his short time as Senator was 100% pro-abortion. Keep in mind that 90% of all children diagnosed with Down Syndrome are aborted in this country, the percentage is even higher in Europe. This is nothing more than practical eugenics. In the next two terms, the Supreme Court will yield more justices which will either stay or sway the abortion law. "Right to Life" should include all individuals, even those not considered to be as valuable. Because Obama does not defend the innocent in his votes, I can not in good conscience, agree with you.

In reference to Susan's comments...Senator Obama is not pro-abortion...he is pro-choice. There is a BIG difference. Our country was founded on certain ideals. Two of which are importance of freedom and the inability to dictate morality. You might want to read the two different party platforms and see which one stresses the importance of giving everyone, even those with disabilities, the greatest opportunities for success. Obama does defend the innocent...including the innocent individuals born with disabilities. Obama wants to strengthen the Americans with Disabilities Act, increase federal funding for the free and appropriate teaching of disabled children, and increasing the standard of living for adults with disabilities. The Republican party and McCain web site do not even address the topic.
My youngest son, who I consider to be my greatest gift, was born with Down Syndrome. He is 16 months old. I want to know that he lives in a nation that values him not just before he was born, but during his sojourn here as well.
By the way, I LOVE THIS SITE!!! I read it almost everyday since I stumbled across it. It inspires me, makes me laugh, and more importantly, gives me hope for the quality of life for my son. He too shares a very special bond with his brother. Watching the videos is like looking into the future relationships for my boys.
Dan, those shoes you wore to your 7th prom ROCKED!!! Also, I am glad you got back together with Sarah. She is VERY pretty.
