Sounds great, but I will have to miss it. This work thing is not conducive to partying. Wish you all the best.

OK, OK! I'll dust off my ball gown, put on my dancing shoes, coat my stomach, and will show up. Mucho amore, Margit.

Jim and me will be there, for sure! Looking forwards to it. Cheers! Anna

Thank you for the invite. Last time, flux 'prom nite' was a hit; Abbas and I wore bow ties, velvet jackets and tinted eyeglasses all night.
See you at the party.

Sadly I won't be able to make it, as I'll be giving summer-school lectures in California. But it's a great idea to have a party to celebrate your anniversary; hopefully it will become an annual event.

The offer is too good to refuse but I guess I will let you enjoy the "3 Quarks Yearly" Ball, and be content with the "3 Quarks Daily" postings...at least this year. Happy partying!!!!!

Alas, I'm on call that weekend Old Beast but I'll make a note for 2006, enjoy, DF

The good news is that I own a tux, the bad news is that I bought it at a yard sale. Alas, I would have to design my summer around such an excursion to NYC.Be sure to tell us about it the next day.

Abbas,
Drat. How about moving it to London? Have fun, well done (and love, obviously),

I'll go
even though
I don't know
any one of you.
Arriving alone
is not unknown
to me; I've grown
accustomed to being new.

I'll be there!!!! My flight is booked. Now start the raffle for who gets to have me stay in their castle. I am thrilled and proud to announce, by the way, that, just in time for the ball-- BLACK IS BACK!!! I was just getting tired of all those silly colors and girlish frocks. time for some hard-core punk rock siren sartory.
grosses bises!
Back in Black,
Z.

Thank you so much Abbas for the kind invitation. I apologize for not responding sooner. I don't like flying, I don't like the Jersey toll booths and my dancing from Pasadena High School in California 1956 is at least 50 years out of style, not to mention that the old clothes won't fit anymore, and you know the saying about teaching an old dog new tricks. Best wishes and have a great time in New York.

If I were not departing from Montreal the very next day for Turkey, if I still lived in the only city that matters rather than in this half-ass icebound exile, ce pays qui n'est pas un, I would assuredly be there. I wish you the very best of soirées, and promise to have my priorities straight by next year so that I might attend. Ever your, Justin.
Posted by: Justin | Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 03:06 PM
though i quite like living in montreal, i'm not into city-jingoism. but "this half-ass icebound exile"? them's fightin' words!

I really wish I could come. Sadly, New York is quite a drive for a poor college boy. Plus, I gots a girlfriend to tend to. Oh, Saturdays.
Hopefully a more financially independent Josh can make it to the SECOND Annual 3Quarks Ball.
