Abbasi, this is truly fantastic. I have read Bert Holdobbler's book(s) and love them, but to see this movie has brought home the wonder of ants in a stunning and graphic way. Thanks for finding this......from a Myrmecophile.

I feel sorry for the millions of dead ants who died so this film could be made. Termite colonies are as extensive and termites are mostly blind.

So what kind of fungus do these little fellows eat? This is amazing but it's their ventilation system that kills me. Is it the product of a chance collection of previous, related behavior and routines or does this "hive mind" have some capacity for initiating a programme of trial and error? I can't help but recall the Biblical proverb,"Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise."
Wisdom has yet to hit me so for now I'll just have to settle for unremittant fascination. Thanks for the clip.
