Hillary's Downfall

If you haven't seen Der Untergang (The Downfall), rent it. It's really good. Meanwhile here is a pretty funny parody (sorry Hillary supporters, but it IS funny, no?). Warning: Strong Language.

Schadenfreude!

I am not a supporter of Hillary Clinton. I do think, however, that despite all the "fucks", which bother me not at all, you have to be a Clinton-hater to find this funny. I can't remember an instance when I have found anything at all funny about Adolf Hitler. He killed six million Jews and a few million "others". To compare Mrs. Clinton to him is despicable in a number of ways. Ignoring the insult to her, and insult is hardly a strong enough word, it is also an offense to the millions of dead to mock that terrible's man's evil by comparing him to anyone in the world I can think of. Not even George W. Bush. I am so very surprised to find this here.

Your mothers must be so proud of you.

I hope that you consider refunding your parents the cost of your education since it was apparently an entire waste of time. To consider that funny you have to ignore the suffering of countless millions of people and the sacrifices of those who fought and died to stop it. Congratulations, you have succeeded in shaming yourselves and proving the pitiable state of the education system simultaneously.

I think it's funny, but then, I'm an Obama supporter. (Which is not to say that I would not have been happy to support Clinton if Obama had not been running...)

Also, another recommendation for Downfall. A brilliant film.

I am neither a Clinton nor an Obama supporter and I found this so funny I had to pause it to stop laughing. Lighten up.

Strangely enough, though I think Obama would indeed make a great president, I don't find this funny. Believe it or not I even have a sense of humor.

Frankly, this exemplifies why I have been a bit frightened by Obama supporters en masse lately. I have felt the urge to distance myself from them in the same way I felt the need to cross to the other side of the street before walking past fraternity row at night when I was in college.

Is this funny? A note to other female Obama supporters: use the buddy system when attending his rallies and watch how much you have to drink. This is not the company with which to let your guard down.

Humor or sarcasm are always in the eyes of the beholder.

I consider this funny because describes hubris and (Narcisismo Patologico-NP) at its best.

The explanation can be found by searching it on www.monografias.com

This is funny in an involuntary way, like when rape victims sometimes acheive orgasm in spite of themselves. Who said humor isn't sometimes extreemly mean?
The Internet has taken on the role once filled by toilet walls. There was some funny stuff on those when I was young.[Hey, thats the Next Big Thing after Facebook: the on-line toilet, no more of that wasted offline time {u heard it here first, folks} ] Not the place for fairness and accuracy.

I am known to have a pretty good sense of humour. I love to laugh. I am not a Clinton supporter. Hillary Clinton isn't close to Adolf Hitler. Not even close. I have never found anything remotely funny about him. It's only my opinion, of course, but I think anyone who finds this funny is at the very least deeply insensitive and at worst, a misogynist anti-semite with a twisted funny bone. Lighten up? You must be .... joking.

And this is your post for mother's day? She's somebody's mum for chrissake.
And you, presumably, are somebody's son.

I think it is not funny at all.

Posted by: Bibi | May 12, 2008 3:27:00 PM

This was far funnier than it had any right to be. Much better—and much less mean—than SNL's take: http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/video/play.shtml?mea=250052

Nothing funny about Hitler? Mel Brooks might beg to differ, not to mention Larry David...if dark humor isn't your thing that's fine, but no need to high-handedly condemn the rest of us for having different tastes!

SNL doesn't even come close to this, this is the funniest video on Hillary so far.

This is the best example I've seen of the teenage mean-spiritedness and petulance of the Obama supporters.
The contest will not be between Obama and Hillary - it will be between the Democratic and Republican parties. So misogyny - the mainstay of the group grab that is Barack - will have to be shelved - then what???
Lack of real substance is the hallmark of Obama's appeal - take away the 'Hope' and 'Change' and all you're left with the filthy misogyny that has characterized his campaign from the start.
There will be tomes written about this period of media supported self-indulgence and blatant women-hating - though the analysis will be written long after this group of impotent misfits has handed McCain the White House on a platter.
