Seriously…
This is terrible. It’s cool to be liberal but class conscious poetry should be reserved for mediocre college poetry-jam sessions.

I do believe it's meant as a take on Brooks' "We Real Cool". See: "We Real Cool" by Gwendolyn Brooks

Christine is absolutely correct. It's an imitation of the Brooks poem, and not a half bad one at that. Poetry Magazine was perhaps the most significant journal of poetry in America in the 20th Century; it gave us the likes of Pound, Eliot, Stevens etc.
