Could cyberspace be the novel's best friend?

Great post, Azra. Of all the ways in which publishers can be dumb, and continually underestimate the intelligence of readers, their reaction to lit-blogs is one of the dumbest. I think the real problem is that many readers rightly realize that mainstream reviewers don't always say what they really think. There's a gruff honesty in blogs that makes a recommended read more convincing.
